salt peanuts* ble tildelt Formidlingsprisen av Norsk jazzforum tidligere i år. Vi har holdt det gående på frivillig dugnadsarbeid i snart ti år, uten nevneverdig, økonomisk støtte fra myndighetene. Vi har lagt ned tusenvis av timer og flerfoldige tusen kroner fra egen lomme, for å informere publikum om disse formene for spennende musikk, nesten ingen andre bryr seg nevneverdig om.
Husk at vi jobbber GRATIS med å oppdatere dere på hva som skjer i jazzen i hele verden. Minst to plateanmeldelser hver dag., konsertmeldinger og daglige festivalrapporter på de festivalene vi besøker, nyheter fra jazzens verden, spennende videoklipp, og det meste som gjør at du kan holde deg oppdatert i jazzen og den sterke, improviserte musikken.
Nå er vi kommet dit at vi trenger oppdatering av vårt tekniske utstyr. Det dreier seg om publiseringsdelen, utstyr skribentene og fotografene trenger for å utfore jobben tilfredsstillende for dere lesere, både når vi lager vanlige repartasjer og, når vi tenker framover i tid, på utstyr til produksjon av podcaster og andre deler av produksjonen som tvinger seg fram etter hvert. salt peanuts* was awarded the Media Award by the Norwegian Jazz Forum earlier this year.
We have been working on a voluntary basis for almost ten years, without significant financial support from the authorities. We have spent thousands of hours and several thousand kroner from our own pockets to inform the public about these forms of exciting music, which almost no one else cares about.
Remember that we work for FREE to update you on what is happening in jazz all over the world. At least two album reviews every day, daily festival reports at the festivals we visit, news from the jazz world, exciting video clips, and most of what allows you to stay up to date on jazz and strong, improvised music.
Now we have come to the point that we need to update our technical equipment. The publishing part, the equipment the writers and photographers need to do their job satisfactorily for you, our readers, both when we do regular reports and, as we think ahead, about equipment for producing podcasts and other parts of the production that eventually force themselves forward.
