I’ve started with a sort of clean-up in the record collection, to make room for all the new stuff that’s coming. And then there are some boxes that are first put up for sale. I might as well start at the top with this exclusive numbered box with one of the really greats in recent jazz.
The box contains all the recordings from Ornette Coleman’s last concert at the «Celebrate Brooklyn» event and recordings from his funeral at Riverside Church, where both Sonny Rollins and Cecil Taylor take part. Only 1600 hand numbered, of which this copy is number 1315. This is a box set of 4 LPs, 2 DVDs, 3 CDs, and a 26 page booklet with extensive liner notes by James Blood Ulmer , John Snyder, James Jordan and Denardo Coleman.
