For et par år siden ble den italienske musikkskribenten Luca Vitali sin bok «Il Suono del Nord» utgitt i Italia. Boka ble presentert på salt peanuts* her.
Med støtte fra Norsk Jazzforum og det norske Utenriksdepartementet er boka nå oversatt til engelsk med tittel «The Sound of the North – Norway and the European Jazz Scene». Den engelske utgivelsen er redigert og tilrettelagt av den britiske musikkjournalisten Fiona Talkington.
Boka ble lansert på Nasjonal jazzscene – Victoria fredag 16. oktober 2015. Her ble den presentert av forfatteren i samtale med Jazznytts Rob Young. Vi vil komme tilbake med en anmeldelse av Luca Vitalis bok seinere i denne publikasjonen.
Boka vil også bli presentert under Tampere Jazz Happening 2015 på lørdag ettermiddag 31. oktober. Tid og sted vl b.i annonsert av festivalen seinere. Presentasjonen vil være en samtale mellom forfatteren og salt peanuts*-redaktør Jan Granlie.

A couple of years ago, the Italian music writer Luca Vitali published his book «Il Suono del Nord» in Italy. The book was presented on salt peanuts* here.
With support from the Norwegian Jazz Federation and the Royal Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the book was relaunched Friday 16 October, 2015 at the Nasjonal Jazzscene – Victoria in an English edition. The English version with the title «The Sound of the North – Norway and the European Jazz Scene», has been translated by Melinda Mele and edited by the British music presenter Fiona Talkington.
At the book launch the publication was presented in a dialogue of the author Luca Vitali and the temporary editor of Jazznytt, Rob Young. Later we will give a more thorough review of the book on salt peanuts*.
The book will also be presented at the Tampere Jazz Happening 2015 on Saturday 31 October between the concert of Paal Nilssen-Love Large Unit at 14.00 and the Mats Gustafsson solo concert at 15.45. The presentation will be a conversation between the author Luca Vitali and salt peanuts* editor Jan Granlie.
The Sound of the North» is published by the Italian publishing house HAZE, with ISBN 978-88-98599-53-0.
